Parent Frequently Asked Questions

At LifePoint Kids (LPK), safety is the number one concern. We know that nothing is more important than safety and security for every child. At LPK, we believe that God has entrusted each child into our care, and we believe that there is no greater privilege.

Here are some of the security features we have in place to keep your child(ren) feel safe and secure during their time at LPK:

  • Everyone that enters the building on a Sunday morning has been registered.
  • Every child will receive a randomly generated security code at check-in. This code is what we use at pick-up to match your child to you.
  • Every door that enters LPK is locked and only those with a security tag or accompanied by a team member are allowed to enter.
  • In LPK, every volunteer and staff member has been screened and passed a background check.

Are there resources that I can use as a parent to connect with what my child is learning in Sunday School?

At Creek Kids, we believe that parents are the disciples of their family and we want to give them the resources about what their child learned every Sunday.

In the Bible Store, there are PHASES guides for each stage of a kid's life during nursery - 5th grade.  In addition Creek Kids sends out a weekly/monthly email with the latest teaching for each age group.  The email list is updated periodically to include new subscribers.

Can I stay in the classroom with my child?

Creek Kids is full of parents and grandparents that serve in classrooms. We would be excited to talk to you about opportunities to serve in a classroom with your child or anywhere in the Creek Kids ministry. However, before anyone is able to serve in the classroom, they have to complete a background check and talk to a Ministry leader about the opportunity. This is for the safety of all the children in the classroom.

This is my first visit, what do I do?

Creek Kids Ministry loves new faces and would be excited to welcome you to our church family. Every first-time visitor is greeted and entered into the Check-In system for Church at the Creek.  Once you are in our system, a staff member or Kids leader will walk you to your child(ren)’s area and make sure they are connected with their leader. On the way to the classroom(s), you will get a breakdown of what Sunday morning looks for them.

How do I serve in Kids Ministry?

At Creek Kids, we are looking for people who are passionate about teaching children about our great God. If you are one of these people, we welcome you to our team. Leaders serve either once a month or every other week. We have spots for everyone, whether you want to rock babies, welcome new families, act as a mentor to preteens, or make sure that Creek Kids is always safe. At LifePoint Kids, we believe that parents are the disciples of their family and we want to give them the resources about what their child learned every Sunday. Inside the bulletin there is an overview of what your child learned in Sunday School, as well as the monthly theme and verse. We add this as a way to help you make connections to what your child learned in Sunday School. Also, LPK sends out a weekly email to all parents with conversation starters and details about what they learned, with a link to God Time Cards for their age group.

Also, each week there is a family connect in the bulletin that ties the message delivered in the Worship Center in an activity form for your family.
